Yesterday I drew a line Gonna stay on the other side Moving out where the sun will shine I’ll be back in my own time Screaming to the sky at the top of my lungs Feels good not to be the only one If the pebble can skip home Maybe we better leave it alone

TX3K - Here 04:16
You know that we been rich forever On a plane where we giving it up to the man We dance on the ashes of their remains We playing as if everything else the same It was right! When she smiles it makes me feel so wild In a dream where everything you love just has to die It’s a love song now we’re drinking Nikka Clear All cops die here You know that I report the weather In a land where everything goes and rusts Im your captain and Im screaming and shouting Mankind, stand up and dance! It was right! M Look at their eyes they're cut from a different steel out here In a place where everything they love just has to die Its a love song when we are drinking nikka Clear All cops die here

about

“Mutual Aid'' manifests itself in different ways around the world. Broadly, it is a member-led reciprocal exchange of resources within a community, for mutual benefit, rooted in collective care. In NYC, mutual aid projects can include community food drives, anti-eviction support, setup and maintenance of community fridges, homeless support, grocery runs for vulnerable families, ICE watch, and anti-police repression campaigns, among other efforts.

Today in NYC mutual aid plays an especially vital role. Many residents of Brooklyn and Queens are undocumented and/or unhoused, and are therefore unable to qualify for unemployment, receive benefits or collect stimulus checks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Cycles of unemployment, ICE raids and the imminently expiring eviction moratorium are producing a perfect storm of displacement and physical danger for some of our most unprotected neighbors. It is truly fucked!

100% of proceeds from CUD go to three collectives doing organizing and mutual aid work in the NYC area––Bed Stuy Strong, Equality For Flatbush and the Ridgewood Tenants Union.

These proceeds are meant to go towards the most vulnerable individuals in our communities, in the simplest and most direct way possible. We hope these proceeds will play a role in helping mutual aid groups to strengthen their infrastructures by contributing to a minimum monthly cash-flow that they can build off through the winter and into 2022.

We want to be part of a music scene in NYC, but we also aspire to be a part of the existing communities that live in these neighborhoods. The city is changing quickly, and our hope is that rather than being a force for displacement, we can direct our collective energy towards investing in the communities that we call home.

We also support mutual aid in the ways it advances abolitionist and anti-carceral frameworks, and we want to acknowledge local mutual aid as a necessary and important component of these processes.
